..silentstar..
what i like aboutyouyou really hold me tight--> The quick pawsteps of the Clan Leader were soft against the ground in their Hollow. She always had loved this place, it had always been her home. Her eyes switched around, checking on everything in the vicincy. She was in a cheerful mood, the sun shining down on her fur, warming her from nosetip to long tail. She gave a soft purr to herself, content for once without the stresses of Leadership hanging over her. Of course, it never really went away, but she had times where she could relax. She swished her tail to one side, and Silentstar cracked a feline smile as she leapt across a small decline in the Earth beneath her paws. Her tail swished to one side, and she sat gracefully, gazing around her home. Her tail folded in front of her paws, and she gave a soft yawn. --> She decided to go hunting later, as right now she was currently in a lazy state. Her clanmates did not want right now, with the nice weather and the plump prey. If she ever got a break, it was during this season. She laughed softly to herself. A clan Leader getting a break? No, even during her small peaceful moments did she ever get a break. Not even when she slept! Not that she minded, and she certaintly wasn't complaining. She loved leading her Clan, and with it held such a feeling. It was pride, and ferocity, and everything she needed to support those around her. She would do anything for her clan. She settled down, that fierce pride in her intelligent eyes. She was younger than some of the opposing clan leaders, she knew. Some may see that as a weakness, but she took it differently. --> Now, with all things accounted for, she closed her eyes. Her warriors would watch things, and she wasn't really sleeping. It was apparent by the way her ears flicked in an alert way. Her clanmates had probably long ago learned that Silentstar did not nap, even if she was exhausted. She was alert, and if a warrior rushed into camp right now, saying they were being attacked, Silentstar would be ready for action. For now, nothing of the sort was happening, so she was content to sunbathe, the streams of sunlight on her beautiful coat. She never wanted anything more than the safety of her clan, food for her clan, and a nice sunspot to lay in. tell me i'm the only one gonna come over tonight--------------------------- OOC: Finished!

live to fight for what is right follow the light your wonders delight \--\-----------------------------------------------------/--/ Pitchpaw's shadowy form could be seen by the apprentices' den, he was washing his thick coat. He was utterly bored, and was wondering when he was going to be taken out training. Silentstar was his mentor, and she seemed to be in her own world at the moment!
Pitchpaw's ice blue eyes roamed over to stare at Silentstar's back. He didn't know if she was just sitting here, or dozing, it was hard to tell. I thought having the leader as a mentor would be fun! But she's just wasting my training time. The apprentice thought, eyes narrowing slightly as he snorted to himself and turned his head to look the other way.
Poor Pitchpaw was an impatient one, but he really just wanted to start some battle training! He already knew the hunters' crouch, one of the older apprentices had taught him it earlier, upon his prodding. And learning the borders was easy stuff, he wanted the real juicy things now! Which were the battle techniques!
Pitchpaw's tail flicked back and fourth as he imagined what he would learn from Silentstar, he knew she was a pretty good fighter, at least what he would told. Pitchpaw smirked slightly as he saw a butterfly floating nearby. Instantly the tom crouched down, with his tail curled up as he stared defiantly at the yellow and green bug. I might as well learn from myself I suppose while Silentstar dozes. He thought as he crept toward the butterfly.
He watched it for a few seconds, waiting for it to get lower, his eyes then flashed as he made a lunge at it. He reached out for it with both his paws, claws sheltered and he caught it in mid-flight, coming back down with a light thud. He pinned the helpless thing to the ground and held it there, eyes delightfully pleased looking.
take that! He let out a small growl as he made sure it didn't try to fly away. His eyes gleamed as he looked over at Silentstar to see if she was looking. He was rather fond of the leader, she was young and pretty. Sure it was against the warrior code, but hey! Pitchpaw was just like that! If only he were older.... \--\-----------------------------------------------------/--/ the ooc// progress; done muse; high talking to; Silentstar mood of character(Pitchpaw); arrogant and curious notes; yeah, I went there on that last part! lmao

..silentstar..
what i like aboutyouyou really hold me tight--> Silentstar was gone when the young cat looked back. It seemed she lived up to her name, and after a moment her voice rang out. "Pitchpaw, are you going to play all day?" She admonished quietly, the tom would find her behind him. She was idly licking one paw. "Here I thought you'd be interesting to teach," There was a note of teasing in her soft, quite voice. "Come now. We haven't time to play silly games." She turned and started up the Hollow, not pausing to see if her apprentice was following or not. Yes, it was true she probably wouldn't have kits. This was a sad fact of her life, of course, but not one she couldn't live without. Her tail flicked softly as she weaved her way through the Heather and upward onto the side of the Hollow. "As a WindClan cat, we are best known for our speed." She then gazed back, to see if her apprentice was anywhere close to her. --> She sat down for a moment, idly licking her paw and swiping it down her ear. She was running through things she could teach her young protege, as she liked to call him. "Let's start out with the basics, I suppose. You are weakest on your back. Do you know your claws? When you are flipped onto your back, use your back legs to push upward, usually on the belly." She gave an idle pat with her paw on the ground, tilting her head to the side. She flattened her ears for a few moments, looking inquisitive at him. "First, show me what you can do." She sounded almost bored, as though goading him into action. --> She watched him with a look akin to amusement though, not knowing this young tom was smitten with her. She gave a low stretch to the ground, digging her claws into it. Her voice did not break the solitude of the outer circle of the Hollow, the wind softly flattening her fur to her body. It almost made her sad though, somewhere. When she was younger it was her dream to have a family and a love. Her brother was to be the spotlight, and she the content one. She didn't mind, however. It was now as if she were the mother to the entire clan, and she had to take care of them. She flattened her ears again, her attention coming fully back onto her apprentice. She would wait for him to show off his expertise fighting skills..not that he probably had any. tell me i'm the only one gonna come over tonight--------------------------- OOC: Finished!

>>"Hello Dustspots...you erm...you look...." A tom's voice came from behind her. Curious, the she cat turned around to see a light ginger tom with darker flecks covering his pelt. Seedfur. "Uh....hi" He said quietly, feeling stupid around the pretty she cat. Dustspots turned fully towards the tom and blinked her mint green eyes at him. He was a nice tom. Well grounded, polite, calm, a nice loyal warrior. But his parents abandoned him here. He was still considered an outsider. It didn't bother Dustspots one bit, however. She realized it was her turn to speak and opened her mouth. "Good morning Seedfur. What are you doing up at this early hour?" She asked softly, fur slightly waving in the small breeze. Her stared into her eyes, his own amber eyes shiny. "I just...I just wanted to look out at the heather. It's quite beautiful, with the flowers out and all" He walked towards Dustspots and jumped onto a large boulder behind her. She quickly lept up and sat beside him, feeling the few hairs that touched. "Why yes, it is!" She marvled at the large feild of purple and golden waving grasses, like the lake nearby. Dustspots smiled and Seedfur chuckled softly. "See? I wasn't joking" Dustspots looked over to Seedfur and a feeling stirred in her heart. She twitched her whiskers and simply smiled. "Why haven't I talked to you earlier, Seedfur?" His amber eyes lit up.
>>Ah memories. Joyous, yet sad at the same. Dustspots sighed at the thought of Seedfur. He had been a good mate.....oh well..you couldn't reverse death. Though she'd do anything to do it if possible. For a long time she wouldn't even except that not only Seedfur but.....Flowerkit as well. With another sigh the she cat took a few steps forward and stopped. The breeze shifted direction and she found herself in an area with a rabbit. She opened her mouth and scented her prey immidiately. Her ears flickered and she didn't move, didn't think. Nothing except the wind in the grass....then....a tiny, faint rustle. Dustspots lifted her head and saw the two ears of a large rabbit. She smirked and waited a moment. Then, she tensed her muscles and sprang. The rabbit darted ahead, but she kept a good pace with it. She felt the stems whip her shoulders but ignored it. She WAS going to catch this rabbit! Suddenly it turned sharply right. Dustspots fell behind. It quickly turned again, and she fell two paces behind. Come on Dustspots! LEAP! She thought to herself. The rabbit's foot twitched and she leaped out. Just as she came down to the ground the hare turned sharply...right into her claws. The two tumbled across the ground. Dustspot's claws dug into it's throat and she pinned it down when they stopped rolling around. It kicked her once in the leg, a feeble attempt to get away, and then it's life went. She retracked her claws and smiled triumphantly. She lifted it with her patched head and started back towards camp.
>>She got to the dip in the ground where the camp was and saw two figures a ways away from her. She ignored the heavy weight of the rabbit in her jaws and walked forward. She immediately recognized her leader, Silentstar ,and, as she got closer, her apprentice, Pitchpaw. She mentally purred at the young tom and stopped 5 tail lengths away from them. "First, show me what you can do." Her tone was saying all to much. She simply wanted the apprentice to hone his skills...not be so..full of himself perhaps? Dustspots remembered a few times she walked past the apprentice den and saw the strangest things..... With a jolt she realized that she was interrupting their training session and quickly padded past them. The she cat ignored the prickle of sadness as she passed the nursery and set down her rabbit on the fresh kill pile. She smiled and with a nod, padded back over towards the mentor and apprentice. She sat down beside Pitchpaw, at least 7 tail lengths away. She didn't want to get involved in their training. She looked up to Silentstar, a flicker of admiration making her pelt prickle. She had always respected and admired the leaders. For some reason, Dustspots felt closer to Silentstar...they weren't big friends before her leadership, but because she was a younger she cat leader. It showed that she could do it. Windclan was strong, and only the best cats became leader. That's why I will never be leader... She shook her head and smiled. "Greetings Silentstar, Greetings Pitchpaw. Am I in your way?" She asked, mint green eyes looking down to Pitchpaw. She smiled and then looked back up to Silentstar, waiting for her answer. Pitchpaw was staring at the spot where he thought he would see the tabby leader, but was baffled when he only saw the empty space where she once sat.
'Pitchpaw, are you going to play all day?'
Upon hearing the soft voice, Pitchpaw spun around quickly, letting his pin on the butterfly loose. He was surprised to see Silentstar standing right there behind him! As the butterfly floated away over Silenstar's head, Pitchpaw's mouth became ajar. His ice blue eyes widened slightly as he thought of how quick Silentstar had been in coming over behind him, and without him even hearing her! well, I guess that's why she's called Silentstar. The tom concurred, ears flicking as he smiled at his mentor.
His smile faded though as she continued her small speech. He wasn't playing games! He was actually training himself since she hadn't come over to get him to practice anything, until now of course. He could feel his face burn from slight embarrassment at the situation she had caught him in, now seeing how stupid it must have looked. gah! I'm no kit. He told himself defiantly, claws scraping the ground as he turned to see Silentstar padding toward the hollow, still talking. He had to strain his ears to hear her, it was as if she were talking to herself now!
Shaking out of his guilt, Pitchpaw trotted after her, tail held high as his eyes flashed toward the entrance of camp to see the no be queen Dustspots enter in with a rabbit hanging from her jaws. Suddenly his stomach growled softly at the sight of the grey limp body.
Eyes going back to Silentstar's tail, Pitchpaw ignored the feeling of hunger and went on with the training he was going to receive, finally. Suppressing the eye roll that so wanted to come on from his mentor's WindClan speed comment, the black tom nodded his head as she glanced back. Of course I know WindClan's known for it's speed! duh! Pitchpaw thought now standing a few tail-lengths away from the tabby she-cat.
Pitchpaw became fully alert as Silentstar went into her teachings. Tail flicking as he listened, Pitchpaw went over what she had said in his mind. I sure do know my claws, each one of them! He thought, unshealtering each black hook and digging it into the dusty ground below. His eyes flickered once to see a cat come to stand by him.
Seeing Dustspots made him a tad upset, he wanted this to be a private lesson! With this ex-queen here, it would ruin the moment he was trying to have with the leader! Yes, Pitchpaw knew all about this she-cat, what cat in WindClan didn't? Basic sob story, had a mate, loved him to bits, mate got killed, cat was pregnant, kit died in birth. Woop-E.
Pitchpaw did feel a tad bit sad for the she-cat, but not really. He did however like the fact that she didn't loof around all day like the depressed and saddened almost-mother she was. That would be all too annoying.
But what was annoying right now was the fact that she was here! If he was going to show Silentstar what he knew, he wanted it to be just to Silentstar.
But of course, he didn't want to be rude, at least not in front of Silenstar, and tell this she-cat off, Pitchpaw looked exquisitely at Silentstar and listened for any more information. So, she wanted him to go at her, eh? He could do that, but how would he approach his attack?
'Greetings Silentstar, Greetings Pitchpaw. Am I in your way?'
Pitchpaw held back a growl of 'yes' when Dustspots interrupted his train of thought. "Naw." He mewed flatly, his tail flicking her off as he kept his eyes on his mentor. is she trying to look menacing? Pitchpaw thought with an inner smirk of amusement. my den-mates look scarier than that! He thought jokingly as his tail stuck straight up in the air as he crouched down in a fighting position.
alright..how am I suppose to do this...with sheltered claws I think, I don't want to shed any blood. The tom pondered, his thoughts quickly going through his mind. Since she's quick, I should try something unexpected, so when she makes a move to dodge, I can outsmart her! The tom thought as his tail lowered and his ears twitched as a soft breeze blew by, sending Silentstar's scent waffling toward him. She smelled of lilacs and lilys, making it abit hard for this tom to concentrate, how hard it must be to be mentored by such a feline to do that to oneself.
concentrate mouse-brain. He told himerself mentally, eyes flashing as he began to get ready.
Thinking over his motive, Pitchpaw scrunched up his leg muscles, ready to go at her. Here goes something! He thought as a burst of energy went through him from ears to tail tip, sending him flying toward Silenstar.
He aimed for her right shoulder, knowing she would have to dodge to the left. He would have to be faster than the skilled WindClan she-cat to be able to change his direction and aim for her tail; which would be easy for him to then grasp in his mouth. The tom was determined to show how good he really was to Silenstar. And the plan seemed perfect in Pitchpaw's mind as he made sure to move right when she did. Of course, Silenstar might know what he's planning, but he prayed she didn't! \--\-----------------------------------------------------/--/ the ooc// progress; done and done! muse; real high, this is fun! x3 talking to; Silentstar&Dustspots mood of character(Pitchpaw); thinking and determined notes; Pitchy can be real heartless, can't he Isis? don't take it personally, it's just in his character. ;3 Word Count; 959

A swift wind blew across as the sun shined, warming the moor and its inhabitants. There was hares running around, this was good time of year for hunting. But a cream she-cat didn’t care for that; she was too busy hunting for herbs at the moment to even notice the fat hares. Then again the medicine cat wasn’t the kind who liked hunting or fighting, maybe that was what made her a great medicine cat.
Featherstream looked around her, noticing a hare finally. I’ll tell Silentstar when I get back to camp. She thought, before turning her attention back to the reason she was out of camp. I need to stock up on herbs now so when Leafbare comes and I need them I have them. Her paws lightly hit the ground. Even though she wouldn’t ever hunt she couldn’t share any prey away, Her Clan need it. The medicine cat finally caught scent of a herb she was looking for, Yarrow She noted before following the scent. The white flowers of the plant soon came into view as the she-cat padded closer. Taking only what she needed the she-cat started padding back to camp.
On her way back to her den she passed Silentstar, Pitchpaw, and Dustspots. She nodded a greeting, unable to talk around her mouth full of herbs before going to the yarrow in its pile. Before exiting her den and padding back over to the trio. Featherstorm’s heart wrenched when she saw Dustspots. The medicine cat remembered how hard she tried to save the former queen’s kit and how sorry she was when she failed. It was her time, Now she’s safe in Starclan. She thought.
