Whitepaw lashed her tail to and fro, a silent growl rumbling in her chest. "This is mouse-brained!" She hissed defiantly, ears pinning back against her skull. Emerald green eyes narrowed venomously upon the pelt of her mentor and deputy, Blizzardshard.
Whitepaw snorted impatiently as the tom threw a few words back over his shoulder, the fur along her spine rising. "Nightpaw wouldn't have minded collecting moss. Why not send him to do the soft hearted duties? Besides, I'm sure Thunderclan can survive without moss. Without the borders and real hunting duties, Thunderclan wouldn't be a clan in the first place." The she cat protested stubbornly.
Blizzardshard's catch would have been impressive if Whitepaw hadn't been in an ill tempered mood. Tail at a constant lash, the white she cat pulled forward to flank the deputy, though she refused to look at him. "This is just a waste of time and energy if you ask me." She growled.

Her mentor's words only fueled the small she cat's fury. She didn't like his retorts and attempts to get the upper paw over her. Emerald green eyes widened slightly at the latter to Blizzardshard's words and with an almost suprised snort, Whitepaw fixed a glare on the tom. Was that a threat? It certainlt seemed so.
Matching her mentor's pace, Whitepaw raised her head defiantly. "I'd refuse to do it alone. And Treestar would get me a new mentor because you're not teaching me how to be a warrior. I'm not learning anything by getting moss." The white she cat shot back, she knew very well Treestar would probably agree with his deputy, but they couldn't keep her an apprentice forever

[/i], maybe, was a bit too much. But Whitepaw had to learn that tending to the bedding was a part of being an apprentice! He turned forward again, stomping away. StarClan, his apprentice infuriated him in ways that words failed to described. "Now hurry up! This is part of being an apprentice, and caring for your elders is a part of being a Clan. To deny this is to deny being a part of the Clan."[/blockquote] [/ul] |
