I ride on the wing of your dawn. I am the solace of your storm. I am the horrors of your nightmares. I am the silence of your broken heart. I am the one to stop your bleeding. and you don't even know i'm here. >>The only thing that was visible was the moon. Everything else was pitch black. No color at all. Yet the moon hung in the sky as if held up by a whisker. It shone an eerie, cold, white-blue. Yet the light couldn't seem to penetrate the deep darkness surrounding the she cat. She sat quietly, eyes closed. The coldness didn't seem to affect her. Nothing did. Nothing happened for a few minutes. Just the sound of.....no, there WAS no sound. Not even the sound of her breathing. Suddenly two eyes appeared in front of her. Dark brown....kind, caring and warm. The she cat opened her own eyes, revealing the venomous magenta color. Her ears flickered forward instantly and she stared attentively at the brown eyes. "Dawnwing...why are you here? In this dark place?" A she cat's soft voice floated over to her. Dawnwing stiffened. She knew instantly who it was. "Why would you care?" She asked calmly. The brown eyes stepped forward and the moonlight appeared around her. It was a little she cat. Dark brown, with darker points on her ears and paws. She sighed softly and blinked. "Why would you ask such a thing?" She paused. "I care about my kits" Dawnwing growled deep in her throat and thrashed her tail about. "You never cared about me. Otherwise you would have stayed and not left me!" She exclaimed angrily. Foxdash blinked sadly. "That's not true" Dawnwing stood, blending in perfectly with the blackness around her. Only her magenta eyes showed. "Yes, it is! You never wanted kits. You hated me!" She spat "That's why you didn't fight to live, like a warrior should!" Foxdash blinked slowly once more. "No. I love you, Dawnwing" That did it. Dawnwing jumped up and slashed at her mother. As her claws went through Foxdash, she blew away like dust in the breeze. The black she cat stood for a moment, staring at where her mother stood. She then collapsed to the ground.
>>Her eyes opened to a dark semi dark Shadowclan. The sun would come up soon. Dawnwing looked around to see most of her clanmates sleeping, except for one or two of them were gone. She didn't care. The she cat stood and ducked her head, trying not to hit the bramble roof of the warrior's den. She slipped out the entrance and looked around. A few cats were standing guard near the entrance. The she cat walked slowly towards the exit and nodded to them as she walked out. "Just hunting..." She murmured softly as she passed them. Her short black fur fluffed out as she walked into the chilly morning forest. The pine trees enveloped her as she stalked deeper into Shadowclan territory. Stupid mother. She has no right to watch over me. She never did before...why now? She thought with a venomous growl.
>>Dawnwing had not had the best moon. Racked with dreams of violence and pain...she'd lost her cool once or twice in camp. Onestar had yelled at her once or twice....it was ridiculous. And yet....Dawnwing couldn't seem to control it. She couldn't control...herself. And it scared her to death. Yet she would never tell nor show it. Fear was weakness. Fear wasn't aloud. It wasn't right. And she knew it. Somewhere in the back of her mind, Dawnwing knew she couldn't keep going on like this...before she finally snapped...before she hurt someone...or even herself. It's his fault. It is.....wait...which HIM?
>>She shook her head and stopped at the sound of a frog jumping. The she cat walked silently through the brush and watched it stop and croak softly. She bunched her haunches and lept, landing directly on the frog. She quickly bit into it's throat and killed it. She sighed and sat down, looking at her catch. No thoughts came into her damaged mind and she simply did nothing. Life wasn't as....fulfilling as it used to be. She was against the warrior code. She hated it. She wanted to be a loyal warrior and do everything for her clan...yet.. Why do I feel that I can't be fair to both? Curse my mother and father. I hate them.....one down, one to go. A tiny smirk came onto her face and she blinked her magenta eyes. Notes: it started out good, then got bad Muse: okay =/ Listening To: Falling Inside the Black- Skillet Word Count: 842

>>Nightcrow<< Night. The blackness she was named for. The time so dark, yet so alive, the forest positively throbbing with life. It was unusual to find it louder that the days were; the were frogs, crickets, owls, and it wouldn't be a surprise if you spotted a few ShadowClanners out hunting. Or, just sitting there, as Nightcrow was, and as she saw her clan mate doing.
"Hey, Dawnwing." said Nightcrow as she melted from the darkness, the white splotch on her chest that had seemed to hang in the air magically before joining with a body. Her long claws slid into the mossy ground, and she pulled them up, exercising them, examining them absent mindedly. It was something she did to intimidate others, though she had done it so much now she just did it without realizing. She wasn't too upset, though; it kept them strong.
The smaller she-cat sighed and stretched out on the mossy ground. She hadn't been blessed with sleep for the past few nights, and had gone out on her own. It was boring, yes, but better than lying in the warriors den and listening to the other snore, jealous at how easily they had been able to drift off.
"So... What's up?" said Nightcrow in a vain attempt at making conversation. It was awkward to just sit here looking at Dawnwing, even if she couldn't see much of her besides her unusually colored eyes. Not that she would ever admit it, she found it kind of intimidating. She shook her head briefly to clear her thoughts. No use thinking badly of the cat you would be having a conversation to is a few heartbeats.
((Sorry it's kinda icky, but my muse has gone to Jamaica))

I ride on the wing of your dawn. I am the solace of your storm. I am the horrors of your nightmares. I am the silence of your broken heart. I am the one to stop your bleeding. and you don't even know i'm here. >>Dawnpaw. She had been called Dawnpaw back then. Life had been much easier when she had been an apprentice. She was a warrior but.....for some reason her thoughts drifted to that one....day.
Night's blue eyes glinted evily. "Foolish apprentice....you need to learn how to use your tiny brain sometime" He laughed as Dawnpaw's magenta eyes clouded with sadness and fear. "What, did you think we were going to fall in love or something? Even Shadowclan are fools. Get out of my sight...no wait, I'll do it myself" He stood up and melted into a dark morning forest. Dawnpaw sat a moment and jumped up. "I-I-I......wait! Night wait!" She called, slowly standing. But the tom did not come back. "Don't leave me......." She murmured softly, weakness spreading throughout her whole body. She looked at her paws and closed her eyes. A tiny tear came out of one of her eyes. After a moment the grief ceased and fury took over. The she cat bared her teeth and screeched like a banshee. "CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" She unsheathed her claws and slashed the air in front of her, pretending he was there, so she could kill him. Dawnpaw stood quietly after that and sunk her long black claws into the ground. "Can you?" She sighed and sheathed her claws. The she cat turned and padded slowly away, her long tail dragging on the ground.
>>Dawnwing closed her eyes from the painful memory..she physically winced and stayed still for a few moments. She quickly dug a hole with her paw and put the frog inside. I'll......come back for that later She thought slowly. A sound came from in front of her...a rustling in the bushes. Dawnwing watched as Nightcrow appeared from the darkness. The white splotch on her chest was like a signal for prey to run. Dawnwing ignored the though and immediately changed her facial expression. From pain to total, complete calm. NO one could see the emotion past that face. "Hey, Dawnwing." She said casually. Dawnwing noted that she had a nervous habit of exercising her claws. She mentally scoffed at the feeble attempt to look strong towards the other clans. Shadowclan was known to be feared already....she ignored the fact and spoke. "Greetings Nightcrow" She said, voice smooth and casual.
>>Dawnwing watched as Nightcrow stretched out. I suppose she hasn't had too good of nights either? Hmm. Her thoughts trailed after why, but she was cut off by Nightcrow's meow. "So... What's up?" She asked. Dawnwing's eyes flashed, dangerously close to anger. What does it LOOK LIKE, MOUSE BRAIN?! "Oh nothing. Just hunting..." The she cat unsheathed her claws and inspected them. She looked up alittle and stared. Dawning had never really talked with Nightcrow before...she didn't know her that well. She didn't plan too, but sometimes it did come in handy.
>>The she cat stood up and looked around. She opened her mouth and scented some more prey. She flicked her tail in irritation and turned to Nightcrow. "Want to hunt?" She asked with masked boredness. She just wanted to do.....something of importance. Whether hunt or go on a patrol and kick some Windclan and Thunderclan tail, or anything. She looked down on the seemingly small Nightcrow and turned away after a moment. If she wanted to hunt, she'd follow. If not...who cared? The black she cat went into hunting mode and walked with surprisingly soft steps. Her shadowclan heritage kicked in. She was a night stalker. An owl hooted eerily in the distance, it's melancholy song dulling her heart. She ignored it and walked slowly through the trees. Something was off....she could feel it. The she cat pricked her ears up and opened her mouth, scenting the area. Something she wanted to smell was there, just her luck! Cat.....Not from our clan, not from the others. I'll take care of it She walked a few steps forward and stopped suddenly as a large bush came into view. The cat made loud sounds in the brush.....it was eating prey! Dawnwing flicked her tail, signaling Nightcrow to stop (if she was there)
>>The she cat pressed herself to the ground, unknowingly doing Thunderclan's signature hunter's crouch. She took a few quiet steps forward and then launched herself through the bush. The landed on the other side and saw not one cat, but two, close together, sharing a piece of baby owl. They stared up in horror and one hissed, arching his back. Dawnwing chuckled and unsheathed her claws. Her magenta eyes flashed with the victory she knew she would achieve. All too easy. She though with a twitch of her whiskers. The she cat smirked and meowed. "Bad kitty" In a flash her claw swiped at the hissing tom. He lost his breathe as Dawnwing struck him and fell to the ground. The she cat beside him yowled in surprise and jumped up, frozen. The tom shook his head and blood dripped down his face. Dawnwing screeched and tackled him, digging her claws into the tom's shoulders. He yowled in pain. "Get off! Get off!" He exclaimed in pain. Dawnwing blinked slowly and raised her bloodied claws. She jumped up and flipped the tom over. He struggled as she held him down with one paw and raised the other. With a smooth slash, she deeply cut the back of his neck. Blood gushed out and she stepped away. The tom immediately went limp. Dawnwing smiled sweetly and turned over to the she cat. "Hello" She said, tone hollow and venomous. She spit and hissed at the she cat. She looked around and then at her mate. Without a sound she ran off into the forest and towards the Thunderpath. Dawnwing blinked and sat down. "Well..............that was fun." With that, she raised her paw and licked off the blood.
